Whipped Cinnamon Honey Butter
Light and fluffy. Sweet with a touch of salt; This recipe offers the perfect balance! Whipped honey butter is one of our favorites. I like to make it for special occasions or when we have dinner guests. As an added bonus, this recipe quick and easy. In 5 minutes, you can have a delicious butter that is sure to delight your friends and family. But don't take my word for it. Give the recipe a try and let me know what you think!
What you'll need:
1 Stick of salted butter
4 Tablespoons of powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
2 Tablespoons of honey
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
Set butter aside to warm. Once butter is at room temperature, add all ingredients to a bowl. Whip on medium speed with a hand mixer or stand mixer until combined. That's it! Super easy!
Store at room temperature for up to a week or pop it in the refrigerator to keep for longer. I've found that refrigerating the butter makes it less fluffy, but it's still delicious none the less.
This recipe is very versatile and you can make changes quite easily. I love recipes that allow imagination and creativity! Don't you?
You can easily substitute unsalted butter for the salted butter. Just add about 1/8th teaspoon of salt to your ingredients before whipping. Mix the ingredients, then taste. If it needs a bit more salt go ahead and add another 1/8th teaspoon and repeat the process.
I like the texture/flavor that brown sugar gives to the butter, but you can always substitute it for powdered sugar if you don't like the granules. I find that using all powdered sugar gives the butter more of a "cinnamon bun" flavor.
I hope you give this recipe a try next time you're planning to serve bread, rolls, biscuits, or anything of the sort!
