Where I'm Finding Inspiration
Today I thought I'd share some of the places I've recently been finding inspiration. I hope today's post introduces you to some new inspiration and ideas of your own.
Scandinavian Style Décor:
Caleb and I had the opportunity to go on a home tour in Williamsport last weekend. Although I LOVED the Victorian homes we toured, I found myself most inspired by the more minimalistic/Scandinavian style of the loft apartments. This year I am planning to incorporate more white/light tones and simplistic designs into my Christmas décor. I’ve included a few photos from our tour for you to see below.
Next up is Jess, from Salt & Gold Collection:
This style of art isn't what I am normally drawn to; however, I've fallen in love with Jess's beautiful Foot Washing Series. I would highly recommend you check out her Instagram account. Not only does she have lovely artwork, but she also has thought provoking messages related to each one.
I've included some screenshots of her content for you to see. I love how Jess really focuses on depicting Christ's humility in a lot of her work. If you're interested, you can check out her online store here.
Third on my list is Land of Silence by Tessa Afshar:
I typically gravitate towards non-fiction, WWII era, or lifestyle books, but Tessa caught me off guard with this one. Land of Silence is a fictional work based on the woman from Mark 5:25-34. Although the back story is based on Tessa's imagination, she weaves historical facts, names, and Jewish/Roman culture throughout the story in a way that captures your imagination. I learned so much about what a woman like the one in Mark 5 would have gone through, and I can honestly say I didn't want the book to end. As an added bonus it had just the right touch of suspense, mystery, and romance. I listened to Land of Silence on Audible, and the narrator did a fabulous job. But I'm sure this book would also be wonderful in print.
So, there you have it, three places where I've been finding inspiration. Let me know your thoughts and if you found today's post inspiring.
Thanks for reading,
Abby
