Katie's Peach Breakfast Toast

I'm excited to announce the guest blog post for this month is my very own sister, Katie! I recently got to spend a week with my family at the beach. While we were there, Katie made a delicious peach breakfast toast that she willingly shared with us today.

Katie is the "middle sister" in our family. She lives in southern Pennsylvania with her husband, Jacob, her dog, Timber, and her flock of chickens and ducks. Katie works as a nurse in Labor and Delivery at our local hospital. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, knitting, crocheting, 4-wheeling, and spending time with family. Katie is highly creative and is the artist of the family. You can usually find her working on a new project or brainstorming for her next one.

Katie's Peach Breakfast Toast -

"I really don't use recipes. I like to add here and there as I go. But I'll give you step-by-step directions of how I make my peach toast." - Katie J.

What you'll need:

  • Bread - any bread will work but a soft Italian loaf of bread works really well

  • Cream cheese

  • Brown sugar

  • Fresh peaches thinly sliced

  • Butter

Directions:

1. Cut your loaf of bread in half lengthwise. If using sliced bread lay out as many pieces as desired.

2. Spread a thick layer of cream cheese over the bread.

3. Sprinkle with a layer of brown sugar. Adjust sugar layer to your personal taste. If you prefer a sweeter treat add a thicker layer. If you prefer the natural sweetness of the peaches, add only a thin layer.

4. Add a layer of peaches to cover the bread, cream cheese, and brown sugar.

5. Sprinkle another fine layer of brown sugar over the peaches and top with a few pats of butter.

6. I place the bread in my air fryer on convection at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. I'm sure you could do it at the same temp in the oven, but you may need to play around with the time.

7. Serve warm with a glass of milk or topped with whipped cream.

I hope you enjoy this recipe. We like it for breakfast, but you could certainly serve it for dessert. If you give it a try leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

Thanks for reading,

Abby
