Come Decorate for Fall with Me
Hello Home in the Hollow Readers! Thanks for stopping by! Today I am going to share a few photos of my home and some of the inspiration behind my fall decorations.
I want our home to be a reflection of us - the things we enjoy, the history/culture of the area we live in, and the family heritage we have.
The antler in the photo above was found in the mountains where we enjoy spending time with Caleb's family. The postcards were sourced from our favorite local antique store. And the trunk that they're sitting on was gifted to us by Caleb's great aunt (it still has the name of the original owner nailed to the top, which I think is beyond cool!). I like incorporating masculine and feminine touches into our home. I feel very strongly that our home should represent both Caleb and me.
This vignette is in my living room. I chose to go with green, white, and brown tones for this look. I was feeling tired of the traditional oranges, reds, and yellows so it was fun incorporating colors that were a little bit "outside the box".
This dried bouquet is filled with Marigolds and Spiral Eucalyptus grown in the flower garden. I always try to incorporate natural colors and pieces of nature into my decor.
This might just be my favorite shelf in the whole house. It's filled with herbs, salves, flowers, seeds, and vinegars that I've collected or made. I love looking at these things so much that I decided to put them in our hutch and use them as decoration. I'll admit, it might be slightly eccentric, but I just love it. Of course, I had to add fairy lights to give it that extra glow!
I hope you've enjoyed getting a glimpse into our home during the autumn season. Leave me a comment with your favorite way to decorate!
Thanks for reading,
Abby
